DSPANZ provided a submission to the Productivity Commission's Productivity Inquiry on 23 March 2022. This Inquiry is the second in a series of inquiries that are undertaken at five yearly intervals.
In our submission we noted that the increasingly digital environment will bring many opportunities and benefits to both individuals and businesses in Australia. However, the overall success of projects and initiatives that arise from this inquiry will be dependent on factors such as ensuring that the right policy settings are in place and that the Government works collaboratively with industry.
We covered the following topics in our response:
- Working collaboratively with DSPs for better outcomes;
- Creating the right policy settings; and
- Harmonising security standards.
