DSPANZ provided a submission to the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment's Government Procurement Rules Consultation on 8 April 2025.
We welcomed and strongly supported the Aotearoa New Zealand Government's proposed update to the Government Procurement Rules and the introduction of Rule 44: eInvoicing Capability.
DSPANZ recognised that including eInvoicing capability as a core capability represents a significant step forward in driving the broader adoption of eInvoicing across the New Zealand economy. We therefore supported the inclusion of a mandatory requirement for large suppliers to send eInvoicing to New Zealand government agencies as we believe this will further drive the uptake of eInvoicing across the private sector.
