DSPANZ co-chairs a number of groups with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO). We also represent DSPs on a number of working groups. Details about each of these groups can be found below. 

DSP Strategic Working Group (SWG)


The DSP Strategic Working Group, known as the SWG, allows the ATO and DSPs to work together on strategic initiatives as outlined in their Corporate Plan. The SWG meets face to face three times a year with a further two virtual sessions run by industry.

Through the SWG, DSPANZ led a focus group on Data Minimisation and Retention. More information on the focus group and the resulting best practice guidance can be accessed here

Digital Architecture Reference Group (DARG)


The Digital service provider Architecture Reference Group, known as the DARG, allows the ATO and DSPs to work together on items impacting the delivery of wholesale services on ATO's data exchange platforms. The DARG meets face to face three times a year.

Tax Profession Digital Implementation Group


The Tax Profession Digital Implementation Group focuses on understanding and supporting changes that the ATO, DSPs and tax professionals need to operate successfully in a digital environment.
