DSPANZ has welcomed the recent joint announcement from the
Treasurer and Assistant Treasurer on the policy design details for delivering
Payday Super. We were pleased to see that the government has listened to our feedback and effectively reduced the scope of what can
reasonably be delivered to enable Payday Super by 1 July 2026.

Mandatory Guardrails
for AI in High-Risk Settings
The Department of Industry, Science and Resources is consulting on proposed guardrails for developing and deploying AI in Australia in
high-risk settings. DSPANZ is seeking feedback, particularly from our
payroll and employment management software provider members, as
the Department has listed specific employment examples in the discussion paper. We encourage members interested in providing feedback
to share via the Members Only Payroll Group on
LinkedIn or by emailing hello@dspanz.org. Learn more

Super Design Announcement
The Treasurer and Assistant Treasurer announced the
Payday Super policy design details on 18 September 2024. The joint release provided
further details on the policy design, including an updated super guarantee charge, super contributions must be received within seven
days of payday and revised choice of fund rules. Read the full

myID
myGovID is changing to myID in mid-November. This change aims to reduce ongoing confusion between the myGovID app and myGov and reflect
future uses of Digital ID. While the name and look are changing, your details and how you use them to access government online services

The Chair of the Finance and Expenditure Committee is calling for submissions on the Taxation (Annual Rates for 2024-25, Emergency
Response, and Remedial Measures) Bill. Learn more about the proposed changes

Zealand Consumer Data Right for the
Banking Sector
The Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) is currently consulting on the regulations and standards for open banking
under the customer and product data bill. The discussion paper is seeking feedback on the following:
- Scope of designated regulations
- Accreditation criteria for accredited requestors
- Appropriate fees and relevant standards
- Costs,
benefits and risks associated with an open banking designation.

The ATO will be decommissioning the SBR Service Desk number on 18 October due to reduced demand. After 18 October, DSPs should raise a
ticket via the DSP service desk via Online
Services for DSPs
or use the on-call number for urgent matters outside of regular business
hours.
