DSPANZ provided a submission to the Treasury’s consultation on the Payment Times Reporting Rules Amendments on 19 August 2024. While
we supported the amendments requiring large businesses to report the proportion of payments relating to Peppol enabled invoices, we

Member Spotlight
Who are you?
Zepto’s founders began their
entrepreneurial journey together as merchants in Byron Bay. After successfully exiting their skydiving
business, they solved their biggest business frustration: slow, costly, data-blind payments. Simply receiving money promptly was an
enormous pain point. After navigating the spaghetti mess of fragmented payment offerings, they decided they could do a better job
themselves. And so, the business that is now called Zepto was born.
Zepto’s founders recognised
early that the combination of real-time payments and insights had incredible potential. From Byron Bay, the
determined team set out to build a platform that would enable businesses to get paid in real-time, with precision and tonnes of data.
Today, Zepto is a scaling tech company laser-focused on a mission to deliver value for enterprise businesses and their customers through
faster, more efficient, secure payments experiences. As Australia’s first non-authorised deposit-taking
institution (ADI) approved to
connect directly to the New Payments Platform (NPP) as a ‘Connected Institution,’ Zepto has positioned itself as a trusted
infrastructure player and a pioneering force in modernising payment experiences.
What do you do?
Zepto creates real-time, account-to-account [A2A] payment solutions for large enterprises. Rather than waiting days for a transaction to
clear, Zepto-powered payments can move, settle,
and reconcile in seconds 24-7-365. These are payments that move in real time, all the time.
Zepto's API opens up a unique set of access points to Australia's A2A payments infrastructure to enable these payments: the BECS Direct
Entry system, and the modern real-time infrastructure of the New Payments Platform [NPP]. Through a single API integration, businesses
unlock a toolkit of solutions from which they can assemble the perfect payment flows for their business using nothing more
than bank
accounts. Via
Zepto's simple-to-use API, businesses can confidently make, take and manage data-rich payments directly from their customers' bank
accounts, and have them settle and reconcile instantly. Using Zepto’s suite of A2A solutions like its enterprise PayID, PayTo, NPP
payouts, direct debit and unique Stored Value solution, businesses can confidently make, take and manage data-rich payments directly from
their customers' bank accounts, and
have them settle and reconcile instantly 24-7-365. Last year Zepto partnered with digital delivery firm
OZEDI to devise Australia’s first instant super fund payments solution. This groundbreaking partnership allows Australian businesses to
instantly and securely pay contributions to super funds nationally via the NPP with a new PayTo-powered SuperStream service.
Where are you located?
We are
a remote-first organisation with employees across Australia. Our headquarters are in
Byron Bay where we were founded, and we also have offices in Sydney and Melbourne.
