The anticipated update to ISO/IEC 27001:2022 has officially been released following the update to ISO/IEC 27002:2022 earlier this year. This update has seen minor changes to the requirements of the standard with more extensive clarifying changes made to the controls outlined in Annex A. Read more about the changes.

STP 2 DSP Updates

The ATO has published their first of four Single Touch Payroll Phase 2 (STP 2) updates for DSPs. Their first update focuses on SBR validation errors, highlighting the top 15 most common errors, how to improve user experience and information about cessation date and type error codes. SBR Maintenance Update

Standard business reporting (SBR) scheduled system maintenance is now available via the ATO’s software developers website on the application programming interface (API) system maintenance page. From January 2023, it will no longer be published to the SBR website. Access the page here.

The Government has introduced legislation to expand the functionality of the Consumer Data Right (CDR). This will enable accredited third parties to initiate CDR-powered actions on behalf of Australian consumers and small businesses with their consent. Read more here.
